Established in 1872, Podravska banka (joint stock company) stands as one of the Republic of Croatia’s oldest financial institutions, tracing its roots back to the foundation of Koprivnička dionička štedionica. With a contemporary and innovative approach, the bank has evolved into a modern financial entity, currently operating through thirty branches across Croatia. As of 2022, Podravska banka has solidified its position as a leading small bank in Croatia, showcasing notable business achievements:

  • total assets reaching 590 million euros
  • operating income amounting to 21 million euros
  • client deposits surpassing 448 million euros
  • total loan portfolio of 305 million euros
  • robust capital adequacy ratio standing at 19.31%

POBA is available to its customers 24/7 through a network of 22 branches and other distribution channels (ATMs, EFTPOS terminals, day-night vault, internet and mobile banking and info-kiosks).

Management Board

Daniel Unger, President of the Management Board

Daniel Unger holds a master’s degree in Finance. He passed an investment advisory licensed exam organized by Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency.
Daniel has been employed at Podravska bank since 1997. During that time, he worked in various foreign exchange payment operations, business support operations, branch manager, and since 2003 has held managerial positions within the commercial function, performing the duties of executive director of the Commercial Sector. He has been a member of the Management Board since 2015, in a renewed term in office since April 2019.,and starts to serve as the President of the Management Board in 2022.

Renata Vinković, Member of the Board

Renata Vinković holds a master’s degree in Marketing.
She has been employed at Podravska bank Since 1996. First as a loan officer and then in increasingly responsible positions within the organizational units responsible for risk, where she has been involved since 2007. As Executive Director of the Risk Management Sector, she was responsible for managing and supervising risks and providing expert support for risk identification and quantification.

She has been a member of the Management Board since April 2019.

Goran Varat, Member of the Board

Goran Varat holds a master’s degree in Economics, University of Zagreb (2004), specializing in the field of macroeconomics. In 2000, he graduated from the same university, majoring in Finance. He holds a FAME certificate (Financial Asset Management and Engineering) from Swiss Finance Institute in Lausanne and has attended numerous additional educations and training seminars in worldwide.
Goran started his professional career in Croatian National Bank in 2002, working in Sector for Central Banking Operations, Division for Management of International Reserves and Foreign Exchange Liquidity. In 2004 he transferred into the Banking Regulation and Banking Supervision Sector, where he worked as direct supervision of market and liquidity risk specialist. Goran joined Podravska banka in 2008 as Financial Markets Executive Director. In 2014 he was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors at Hipotekarna bank in Montenegro. From 2015 until 2019 he works as a member of the Management Board of Podravska banka, and starts to serve as the President of the Management Board in April 2019.

He has been a member of the Management Board since 2015.
